Your smile is in good hands because ours belong here. Dr. Richard Clabaugh was born and raised in Lincoln, starting his education journey at Lincoln Christian School, where he graduated in 2002. He continued at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln for undergrad, then honed his skills at UNMC’s College of Dentistry right in our city. Though his residency took him out of state, his heart—and now his practice—remained right here in Lincoln. Each year, Lincoln families gather to watch the Star City Figure Skating Club’s winter show. From toddlers taking their first skating strides to high-energy synchronized routines, the performance captures festive spirit and community pride. As a sponsor, we help keep ticket prices accessible, ice time affordable for skaters, and the audience filled with families making memories. When you see that event announcement or slip a ticket into your glovebox, know that Clabaugh Orthodontics is proud to be part of those smiles on and off the ice.
Stepping Up in Shoes and Smiles
Imagine a day when you swap your boots for bare feet just to stand in solidarity with families who can’t afford shoes. That’s the heart of Cornhusker Bank and People’s City Mission’s “Day Without Shoes” campaign. For years, we proudly supported this mission by turning our office into a shoe collection hub every spring. Patients, friends, neighbors, strangers, etc, were welcome to drop off new or gently used shoes, and we made sure they reached children and adults in need. Thanks to the generosity of Lincoln residents, thousands of pairs were collected, and your simple act of contribution creates warmth, comfort, and dignity for our neighbors. Although we no longer host this event, our passion for supporting the Lincoln community remains strong, and we continue to find new ways to give back throughout the year.
Fighting Hunger in Our Hometown
No one in Lincoln should go hungry, and we’ve made it easy for you to help. Our periodic food drives support the Food Bank of Lincoln by collecting canned goods and pantry staples right here in the waiting room. Whether you’re a regular visitor or joining us for the first time, bringing a donation helps fill the shelves for families facing food insecurity. Together, we deliver meals and hope throughout Southeast Nebraska.
Championing Local Small Businesses
Lincoln shines brightest when local businesses thrive, so we show our support every chance we get. We bring in cookies from This Little Light Cookie Company, knowing firsthand how these handcrafted treats brighten both team meetings and patient celebrations. Our lunches often come from Honest Abe’s Burgers & Freedom, fueling the team with creative burgers made by neighbors. And when we crave something different, Chopsticks Chinese Cuisine has us covered with authentic flavors that remind us of the culinary diversity in our city. By highlighting these spots, we strengthen the bonds that make Lincoln a vibrant place to live and work.
